Overview
For three generations we have implemented mechanical systems that have kept important sectors and industries functioning.

McKeon Bros. is a mechanical and building services contractor established in 1946 by the McKeon family. We remain family-owned and family-run today — a rare continuity in Irish construction.

Our work involves providing expert mechanical HVAC contracting services, including system design, installation, and maintenance for commercial, industrial, and residential clients. We deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions built for performance and comfort.

Capabilities
Three disciplines, one accountable team.

Behind every project is a directly-employed team of engineers, tradespeople and apprentices — trained in-house, led on-site.

District Heating System - Glass Bottle Site

Glass Bottle Pipework Project involved the delivery of a large-diameter district energy pipework network to support the redevelopment of the landmark Glass Bottle Site. The project included the installation of 600mm diameter pipework, completed to ASME IX certified welding standards, ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety, and long-term performance.

Delivered within a complex live construction environment, the works demanded meticulous planning, precise coordination, and rigorous quality control to support the site’s future low-carbon energy infrastructure.

Three generations
Built with a wealth of experience over eighty years.

Founded by the McKeon brothers in post-war Dublin, the firm has been led by the same family for three generations. That continuity shapes how we hire, how we train apprentices, and how we treat the buildings we leave behind.

Roughly 80% of our work comes from clients we have served for more than a decade. We think that is the only metric of quality that matters.

FAQs
Questions we hear most often.
What sectors do you work in?

We deliver mechanical and building services across building services, energy & industrial, healthcare, data centres and energy management — from live acute hospitals to mission-critical data centre campuses.

Where are your projects based?

We are headquartered in Dublin and operate across Ireland, with selected projects delivered across other European countries for long-standing clients.

Do you use directly-employed tradespeople?

Yes. Our engineers, fitters, welders and apprentices are directly employed and trained in-house. Every project is led by a senior engineer and signed off by a partner.

Can you work in live or operational environments?

Routinely. A large share of our work is delivered alongside operational hospitals, campuses and facilities, with phased handovers and zero-disruption protocols.

How do I start a conversation about a project?

Send a brief — even a one-pager — through our contact page. A partner will respond within two working days to scope a fit and arrange a site visit.
